Premium Indonesian mace (nutmeg flower) for export

Mace (Nutmeg Flower) —

A Rare and Exquisite Spice of Indonesia

Mace (Nutmeg Flower) is a premium spice derived from the reddish-orange aril that surrounds the seed of the nutmeg fruit (Myristica fragrans), a plant native to the Banda Islands in Maluku, Indonesia—historically known as the “Spice Islands” and celebrated for producing the world’s finest nutmeg and mace.

When properly dried, mace transforms from its vibrant red hue to shades of bright orange and orange-brown, reflecting excellent quality and careful post-harvest handling that meet international trade standards.

Mace offers a warm, mildly sweet, and delicately spicy flavor that is softer and more refined than nutmeg. Its distinctive aroma and subtle taste make it a versatile ingredient used in both sweet and savory recipes, including soups, sauces, baked goods, and beverages.

Traditionally, mace has also been appreciated for its natural aromatic compounds and antioxidants, which are known to support overall wellness. With its elegant flavor profile, rich aroma, and heritage from Indonesia’s legendary Spice Islands, mace (nutmeg flower) remains a prized ingredient in gourmet cuisine and traditional spice markets worldwide.
